To support the launch of Max’s House of the Dragon, we developed a series of interviews built to help fans get to know our new cast. During a lull in their programming schedule and at the height of the “streaming wars,” we needed to set HBO’s library of content apart. Inspired by social conversation and a growing backlash against people being treated as data, we launched “Recommended by Humans.” It was the first human-powered recommendation engine, which positioned HBO in direct opposition of the algorithms - and of Netflix - because shows that touch you on a deeper emotional level can only be Recommended by Humans.

To grow Jägermeister drinking occasions we needed to authentically intercept and draft off of existing behaviors. One of those behaviors was the default order of beer with a shot of whisky.
