Social Media Content Designer

LOCATION: REMOTE

SALARY: $70,000–90,000

POSITION OVERVIEW

As a Social Media Content Designer at Deep Focus, you will collaborate with our social, creative, and client teams to concept, design and develop still and video projects for clients in the destination travel, hospitality, and car rental industries. The ideal candidate is social-media-minded, highly-organized, and comfortable editing graphics and videos on-desktop and on-platform.

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future visa sponsorship.

Bonus points for creative concepting chops.

Key Responsibilities

  • Core Role: Develop, design, and edit still, video, and motion graphics for social media that service our clients, as well as new business and marketing needs.

  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with agency teams to complete assigned tasks and ensure seamless communication throughout a project lifecycle.

  • Feedback: Gather and apply client and internal team feedback with grace, asking questions and presenting solutions where necessary.

  • Communication: Maintain regular communication with internal teams, providing timely updates on progress, elevating potential risks, and proposing solutions to ensure all deliverables meet expectations and deadlines.

  • Industry Knowledge: Stay ahead of emerging trends in design, social media and digital experiences that inspire the team and the client.

  • Accountability: Strong sense of personal responsibility and ability to work fully remote, adhering to deadlines and expectations in your role.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience: 3+ years of experience with industry standard design, video editing, and motion graphics software, including Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere or After Effects), on-platform editing tools for social media, and Google Suite (Docs, Slides, etc.).

  • Social-Savvy: You live to create for social platforms and understand how to work inside a brand tool-kit (brand logos, colors, typefaces, etc.)

  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a knack for giving and receiving feedback.

  • Organizational Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to juggle multiple projects while meeting deadlines.

  • Problem-Solving: Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with an eye on developing stellar work for our clients.

  • Adaptability: Flexible and adaptable to change or ambiguity, with a positive attitude and willingness to take on new challenges.
