Liberty Science Center needed to drive consistent visitation throughout the year. Like many cultural institutions, attendance tended to spike around school trips, holidays, and major exhibits, leaving quieter periods in between.

The organization wanted to build broader awareness among its core audiences, increase repeat visitation, and generate more efficient media performance. Over time, that need expanded to include growing awareness and ticket sales for LSC After Dark, a 21+ program designed to attract adult audiences.

THE INSIGHT

For many people, museums are something you visit once.

To grow attendance sustainably, Liberty Science Center needed to shift from being an occasional destination into somewhere people notice—and have a reason to return to—throughout the year.

THE APPROACH

We built a localized, cross-channel media strategy designed to keep Liberty Science Center consistently visible and relevant to nearby audiences.

Paid Search and Social became the foundation of the program, allowing us to reach high-intent audiences while maintaining consistent visibility across the region. These channels were supported by additional awareness-driving tactics, including video and out-of-home, to expand reach and introduce Liberty Science Center to new visitors.

Over the course of a seven-year partnership, the strategy evolved alongside Liberty Science Center’s programming and business goals. We continuously refined audience targeting, media mix, and campaign structure to attract new visitors, encourage repeat visits, and drive ticket sales more efficiently.

A key shift came in 2025 when we restructured campaigns around individual exhibits and experiences, particularly within Meta. By allocating budgets and building custom audiences around each exhibit, we could highlight the breadth of what Liberty Science Center offers—showing that there is always something new to see.

Each exhibit became its own reason to visit, helping Liberty Science Center stay top of mind while attracting both new and returning audiences.
